Electronics & Media Policy

Electronic devices can be a very useful tool or a destructive distraction if used at the wrong time or in the wrong way. Throughout the summer all staff are required to follow our Electronics Policy.

Phones:

1. Outside of an emergency, we have a zero-tolerence policy for phone usage at any time during:

  • a 5-Day Club or VBS.
  • a church service.
  • meal time with your billets or hostesses.
  • visiting with your billet or hostesses.

2. Do not use your phone for calling or texting while driving.

3. Do not sit in your room on your phone for an unnecessary amount of time.

Media & Entertainment:

1. Watch videos and listen to music that is honouring to God.

2. Do not walk around with music playing on speaker, forcing everybody else to listen to it as well.

Social Media:

1. Do not spend an unnecessary amount of time browsing or posting on social media.

2. Refrain from posting any content on social media that could violate the privacy of others, be considered controversial, offensive, or harmful to the reputation of you as a follower of Christ.

Social Media:

1. Do not wear ear buds in the presence of your billets or hostesses.

2. Do not use ear buds while driving.

3. Always ask each time you want to use someone else’s computer.

4. Do not make any modifications to a computer that doesn’t belong to you, such as:

  • downloading files.
  • deleting or moving files.
  • changing settings.

5. Do not view your billet’s or hostess’ files on their computer.

6. Do not use a printer without permission.

7. Do not surf the web and spend an unnecessary amount of time on a computer.
